Today’s selection is from Surah 9, At-Tauba or Repentance, verses 111-118. These verses assert that God has purchased the persons and wealth of the Believers and in return has promised them paradise. It is not proper to ask for forgiveness from the mushrikeen for Allah forgives those may lag behind but are sincere in their faith.

Next the episode where David killed Goliath. Next we learn about the ranks of the Messengers of God, spending in charity, the famous Ayat al Kursi or the Verse of the Throne, that there is no compulsion in religion and lastly, a story of the confrontation of Prophet Abraham and King Nimrod, and a story about Prophet Ezra.

Those who divide religion into sects are not Muslims. Lastly, we declare that all prayers, devotion, life and death are for Allah.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was not the only Prophet who wasn’t believed. All the others were as well. And finally, a day of Allah’s is equal to 1,000 years of human calculation.

Today’s selection concludes Surah 4, An-Nisâ or the Women, Verses 163-176. These verses assert that the Qur’an carries the same message as was sent to Prophets Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. Humans should believe in this revelation if they want to attain felicity but there is no Trinity in Islam as there is in modern Christianity. In Islam, Jesus was a Prophet and worshiper of God. Lastly, there is a legal decision relating to the inheritance of childless persons.

Today’s selection is from Surah 6, Al-An‘âm or the Cattle, verses 71-90. These verses establish that believers are commanded to submit to God’s will, to establish Prayer and to fear God. Prophet Abraham learned faith through studying nature. The mushrikïn’s arguments against Prophet Abraham and the existence of Allah are laid out. Lastly, the descendants of Prophet Abraham, including Moses, Jesus and Muhammad were not mushrikïn, or those who associate others with God.

These verses tell of how the people of Prophet Lot and the nations of ‘Ad, Thamüd and Madyan as well as the Pharaoh of Egypt and his people rejected the Messengers of God and were destroyed as a result. Also told is the parable of those who take protectors other than God.
