Humans should believe in this revelation if they want to attain felicity but there is no Trinity in Islam as there is in modern Christianity. In Islam, Jesus was a Prophet and worshiper of God. Lastly, there is a legal decision relating to the inheritance of childless persons.

It assert that some of them cheat in quoting their holy books and that Prophet Jesus never instructed them to worship him. It discusses the covenant of God with the other Prophets concerning the appearance of the Last Prophet (Muhammad), peace be upon him, and ties them all together. Those who disbelieve in Allah will be cursed by Allah, the Angels and all mankind.

Today’s selection is from Surah 21, Al-Anbiyã’ or the Prophets, verses 51-75. These verses tell the story of how Prophet Abraham questioned the idol-worshiping of his father and his people. Abraham broke all their idols to show them that their so-called gods couldn’t defend themselves and would be of no help to the people. Abraham’s people decided to burn him alive but God made the fire feel cool and comfortable to him. God then blessed Prophet Abraham with Isaac and Jacob, both of whom became Prophets.

Today’s selection is from Surah 12, Yüsuf or Joseph, verses 58-79. These verses continue the story of Prophet Joseph after he had been appointed as a member of the King’s cabinet. Joseph’s brother’s had to come to Egypt to get food and grain. Joseph, who was unrecognized by his brothers, commanded them to bring Benjamin, his younger brother. Joseph’s brothers convinced their father to let them bring Benjamin, to whom Joseph revealed his identity and then hatched a plan to retain Benjamin in his services.
