Today’s selection is from Surah 5, Al-Mâ‘idah or the Repast, verses 78-93. These verses recount how the disbelievers among the Children of Israel were cursed by the words of Prophets David and Jesus. We are instructed not to make halal things haram on our own, not to break oaths or drink alcohol, take drugs or gamble.
