Today’s selection concludes Surah 27, An-Naml or the Ants, verses 83-93. These verses depict a scene from the Doomsday and assert that those who accept guidance do so to their own good whereas those who go astray do so at their own peril.

Tafseer for this selection concerns the night and day mentioned in verse 86 and accepting Islam and soul’s fate in verse 92.

Summary

Today’s selection is from Surah 27, An-Naml or the Ants, verses 59-82. These verses implore us to think if there is any god besides Allah who has created anything in the universe or answers the oppressed or guides us to the Right Way. The disbelievers doubt God’s power of creation but the Qur’an clarifies those matters in which they and the Israelites differ. Lastly, we are shown a sign of the Doomsday, the beast of the doomsday.

Tafseer concerns the beast of the doomsday, mentioned in verse 82.

These verses cover the story of Solomon or Solomon on whom God bestowed much wisdom as well as power over jinns, men, birds, ants and the wind. It tells the story of the hoopoe bird which brought him news of the Queen fo Sheba, the communications between Solomon and the Queen of Sheba and her eventual embrace of God.

Tafseer for this Surah contains an explanation of the parable of the Ants and an explanation of the Hoopoe bird.
